The General Cultural Competency Profile (GCCP)

The General Cultural Competency Profile (GCCP) provides a measure of cultural competence against research determined skills that are essential to work effectively with Aboriginal people. Upon completing the GCCP a cultural individual plan is provided to enable the improvement of cultural competencies identified as deficient over time.

The Cultural Needs Scale for Aboriginal Australians (CNS) gives direction to individuals regarding the cultural barriers and challenges that exist when working in mainstream organisations. It provides an individual profile that assists to identify personal development strategies to manage cultural change.

Aboriginal Mental Health Cultural Competency Profile (CCP)

The Aboriginal Mental Health Cultural Competency Profile is unique to Australia in that it is the only tool that has been both culturally and scientifically validated as a measure of Aboriginal mental health cultural competence. Westerman Aboriginal Symptom Checklist Youth (WASC-Y)

The Westerman Aboriginal Symptom Checklist for Youth (13-17 years) has been developed specifically for use with Aboriginal Australian youth and is the first such measure for Indigenous youth worldwide. It identifies Aboriginal youth at risk of depression, suicidal behaviour, drug and alcohol use, impulsivity, anxiety and the extent of cultural resilience as a moderator of risk.

Westerman Aboriginal Symptom Checklist Adults (WASC-A)

The Westerman Aboriginal Symptom Checklist – Adults is the adult version of the WASC-Y. It screens Aboriginal adults (18 years and above) for early signs of risk for depression, suicidal behaviours, alcohol and drug use and assesses cultural resilience as a moderator of risk.
